55 2025 - number 4 - promzvak.nl 9 industry full of overpromising, that honesty is refreshing. Malfini also has its inventory well under control. “If you order with us by a certain time today, it will be shipped that day.” No long waits, no backorders, no vague promises. In the busiest months, the company ships up to 180,000 products per day. Their branding strategy is equally clear. “We have a defined portfolio,” explains Chovanec. “From budget to premium. And we listen to feedback. If a colour isn’t selling, it’s discontinued. If customers ask for longer sleeves, we look into whether it’s viable. We don’t follow fashion trends — but we do make clothes people like to wear.” From Czechia to the world Malfini is strong in Central and Eastern Europe, but it’s growing in Western Europe as well. Germany is now a key market, followed by France and Scandinavia. The Benelux is also on the radar, though competition is fierce there. With the appointment of Mike Stas for the Benelux region, a major step has been taken. The company gives him the time and space to firmly establish Malfini in the market. “Once people get to know us and experience our service, they tend to stick with us,” Stas says. “The quality, service, and ease of doing business really make the difference.” What helps is that the company handles everything in-house — from production and distribution to sales, and even IT is developed in-house. “We can pivot quickly. And we understand our customers’ challenges because we’ve stood in their shoes ourselves.” No empty promises The conversation with Malfini feels genuine. No PR spin. No slick sales pitch. Just: “This is who we are. This is what we do. And this is how we try to become a little better every day.” In an industry that increasingly demands transparency, sustainability, and speed, that may not sound flashy. But it’s that very calm consistency that leaves a lasting impression. While others are still drawing up plans, Malfini already has solar panels on the roof, robots in the warehouse, and the T-shirt in the box. And all of it — typically Czech — without needing to shout about it. Custom-sized boxes One of Malfini’s standout sustainability efforts is the installation of two packaging machines that automatically adjust the box size to match the contents. If a box is only half full, it’s automatically cut down. That way, they’re not shipping ‘air’.
